Professionally known as OKAL. I was born on 19 October 1997 and raised in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria — a city rich in culture, resilience and storytelling. Long before music became my profession, it was my refuge. It became the place where I could express emotions, ask difficult questions and find meaning in everyday experiences.
Growing up, I learned that dreams are rarely handed to us — they are built through faith, persistence and the courage to keep going even when the path is uncertain. That belief continues to shape the woman I am today.
Finding My Voice
In 2014, I made the decision to pursue music professionally. What began as a passion soon became a calling.
Drawn to the emotional depth of Afro Soul and the richness of Highlife music, I began developing a sound rooted in honesty, vulnerability and authentic storytelling. My goal was never simply to make songs people could dance to — it was to create music people could live with.
Over the years, that journey has led to meaningful collaborations, performances and opportunities that have continued to shape me as both an artist and a person.
The Journey So Far
Every chapter has added another layer to my story.
A partnership with Royale Records introduced my music to wider audiences through releases including Cost A Thang, Lover Boy and Oribiruku (Bad Energy).
In 2024, I released my first EP, State of Mind: Into the Verse — a deeply personal project exploring emotion, identity and self-discovery. In 2026, I continued that story with my second EP, State of Mind: Out of the Verse, reflecting growth, healing and the courage to embrace new beginnings.
Each project represents a different season of my life, and together they tell the story of a woman who continues to evolve with every experience — nearly a decade of choosing the mic, the stage, and the dream again and again.
More Than Music
Music introduced me to the world, but purpose continues to shape my journey. I believe creativity has the power to inspire change, create opportunities and connect people across cultures. That belief has led me to support ideas and initiatives that help African creators dream bigger and reach further.
For me, success is never just about personal achievement. It is about creating impact that extends beyond myself.
The Million Dollar Girl
People often ask what The Million Dollar Girl means. For me, it has never been about money. It is about value. It is about believing that every person carries something extraordinary within them. It is about choosing purpose over fear, growth over comfort and legacy over limitations.
The Million Dollar Dream is the belief that our biggest dreams deserve our greatest effort. The Million Dollar Journey is the commitment to pursue those dreams every single day. That philosophy shapes my music, my decisions and the life I am building.
Looking Ahead
I believe I am only getting started. There are more songs to write. More stories to tell. More stages to stand on. More people to inspire.
As I continue this journey, my hope is that my music reminds people that where you begin does not determine where you can go. Every dream starts with believing. Thank you for being part of mine.
Every song tells a story. Every lyric captures a season. Every project represents a chapter of my journey. Welcome to my music.

State of Mind: Out of the Verse
EP · 2026
A continuation of the State of Mind story, exploring growth, healing, clarity and the courage to embrace new beginnings. Earlier, State of Mind: Into the Verse (2024) introduced an honest and reflective body of work centred on identity, emotion and self-discovery — with focus track “Clock” becoming a defining statement of that era.
Music gave me a voice. Purpose gave me a mission. Everything I create is driven by one belief: every person deserves the opportunity to dream boldly, create fearlessly and leave a meaningful legacy.
More Than a Name
People often hear the phrase “The Million Dollar Girl” and assume it’s about money. It isn’t. To me, “million dollar” represents value. It represents believing that your dreams matter, your gifts have purpose and your story is worth telling.
Being the Million Dollar Girl means choosing growth over fear, purpose over comfort and impact over recognition. It is a mindset. And it is a commitment I make every day.
Dream Without Limits
The Million Dollar Dream belongs to everyone. It is the dream that keeps you awake at night. The idea you can’t stop thinking about. The purpose that refuses to let go.
I hope my music encourages people to believe that impossible dreams often begin with ordinary people who simply refuse to give up.
Every Chapter Matters
No journey is perfect. Mine certainly hasn’t been. There have been moments of uncertainty, setbacks, growth, celebration and transformation. Every season has shaped my music and strengthened my purpose.
The Million Dollar Journey is my commitment to keep moving forward — and my invitation for others to do the same. Whether you’re chasing a career, building a business, creating art or simply becoming a better version of yourself, your journey matters.
Creating Opportunities
I believe music can inspire people. I also believe creativity can change industries. That belief has inspired me to support ideas, collaborations and platforms that help African creatives discover opportunities, reach new audiences and build sustainable careers.
One example is Hafrikplay, a creator-focused music platform built to champion African talent and contribute to a stronger creative ecosystem. For me, success becomes meaningful when it creates opportunities for others.
What You Can Expect From Me
